General Information
The Israel Journal of Earth sciences is published in four issues a year and appears annually since 1951. The journal contains new scientific papers written in English in all fields connected with the earth sciences in Israel and its surrounding. Submitted manuscripts undergo experts review by professionals in their subject fields. The journal publishes a wide variety of scientific articles from many fields including: geology, geophysics, geochemistry, structural geology, atmospheric sciences, oceanography, geo-archeology, physical geology, climatology, geomorphology, hydrology and paleontology. Frequently, special issues are published containing collection of papers devoted to a specific subject or in recognition of major contribution by a member of the IGS. Recent years have seen the publication of special issues discussing the water resources in the Arava, Geodesy and Geodynamics of Israel and engineering geology and geotechnology in Israel.
