In recent years, the attention of both serious experts and the public has been drawn to the events at the turn of the Cretaceous and Paleogene. Recently, scientists have come to an almost unanimous opinion that the hypothesis of the consequences of an asteroid collision with the Earth is the cause of the largest extinction at this turn.
In this regard, it is of great interest to use the boundary section of the Cretaceous and Paleogene periods for popularization (primarily among schoolchildren) and for educational purposes as a documented trace of a grand cosmic catastrophe.
