Since the beginning of 2023, I have conducted field trips with several groups of students in various areas of Israel - in the vicinity of Mount Meron (the geode deposit of quartz, chalcedony and calcite), the quarry of the city of Karmiel. During our lectures, we got acquainted with the geological history of the lecture venue, got acquainted in detail with samples of rocks, minerals and fossil organisms and the history of their formation. During the lectures, special attention was paid to the cyclical nature of sedimentary marine rocks, which is clearly visible in large sections, expressed in sedimentation changes through periodic Milankovich orbital cycles.
